We are located right at the entrance to the state-recognized air health resort of Ludwigswinkel in the Southwest Palatinate. In the immediate vicinity, the bike path to the nearby swimming pond "Saarbacher Hammer" (Mühlweiher) begins, as well as access to the park "In den Talauen" and the nearby recreational area "Birkenfeld" with adventure playground, mini-golf course, tennis court, and kiosk.



The town offers you the perfect starting point for numerous activities in the Biosphere Reserve – Palatinate Forest – Northern Vosges due to its wonderful location.

Sandstone rocks, premium hiking trails, castles, lakes, and swimming ponds – not only for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts, but also for mountain bikers, gravel bikers, road cyclists, climbers, and motorcycle aficionados.

In addition to numerous excursion opportunities for the whole family, we must not forget the gastronomy. Within a few minutes on foot, you can reach the restaurant "Blick zum Maimont," and in the town center, also just a few minutes' walk away, the restaurant "Zum Landgrafen." In the seasonal months from April to October, we also highly recommend the kiosk with pizza and burgers in Birkenfeld (playground/mini-golf course).



In the house, you will find a kitchen with a 4-burner ceramic cooktop, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker, and much more, as well as a dining table with seating for up to 6 people. The living room with a cozy sofa, satellite TV, and a tile stove promises pleasant evenings. The guest toilet on the ground floor should also be briefly mentioned. On the upper floor is the bathroom – equipped with a spacious shower, sink, and toilet, as well as the two bedrooms – each furnished with a soft bed for 2 people and a wardrobe.

In the garden (accessible via the cellar exit), you will find a covered seating area with seating and a grill.

Your car can be parked free of charge in front of the house.

Around the vacation home, you will find a dreamy region of castles, rocks, lakes, meadows, forests, and mountains as far as the eye can see. Regionally, you will find several Palatinate Forest Association huts, such as the nearest PWV hut "Hohe List," the Busenberg PWV hut at Drachenfels, PWV hut Dahn in Schneiderfeld (Moosbachtal), PWV hut Hauenstein (Winterkirche Erfweiler), and many more in the direction of Vorderpfalz in the wine region around Landau.

In the region, you will also find the only castle still inhabited today, Berwartstein near Erlenbach, with guest tours and stories about the robber knight Hans Trapp; the highest castle ruin in the Palatinate, the "Wegelnburg," and the visitor mine in Nothweiler; the Imperial Castle Trifels: here, the imperial insignia were once kept, and King Richard the Lionheart was held captive....

Or discover the history of Ludwigswinkel via the historical circular hiking trail (the vacation home PfalzArt - "Uff de Stell" is already a part of it; you can practically start right at the front door) or marvel at the history of the French troop camp in the former locomotive shed - diorama "Camp de Ludwigswinkel" in the district of Schönthal.

Cyclists can also start right at the door with a German-French bike tour: the 28.3 km long Friendship Tour takes you past historical sites such as the "Black Table," the Area 1 facility from the Cold War, and the legendary castle ruin Wasigenstein.

The "Shoe Mile" in Hauenstein (Häuschde) welcomes you on Sundays and holidays with countless shoe stores, a glass shoe factory, and a shoe museum. The Dynamikum in Pirmasens, the Felsenland Badeparadies in Dahn, as well as the Reptilium in Landau are just a small selection of leisure activities that also provide fun and variety for the whole family, even in bad weather.



Supermarkets, gas stations, bakeries, etc. can be found in the neighboring village of Fischbach b. Dahn, approximately 4 km away.

You can expect a cozy, historic holiday home of approximately 110 m² located in the former Reichsvermögenstelle from 1923 (still referred to by the residents of Ludwigswinkel as "Uff de Stell" after 100 years). The protected property was built in a strongly baroque reform architectural style. The lovingly renovated middle townhouse of the overall complex is comfortably furnished and currently offers accommodation for 1 to 4 (max. 5 people), distributed over 2 bedrooms each with a box spring bed - one with the size of 1.60m x 2.00m and one with 1.80m x 2.00m. A guest bed 0.90m x 2.00m can also provide a third sleeping option in the front bedroom: ideal for 5 people. A travel cot and a high chair are also available.
