Since 2016 you can also spend your holiday here in original railway carriages (3 nights minimum stay). Two historic railroad carriages of the Swiss National Railway from the 1950s (last used as bar and seating carriages of the "Sauschwäntzle Museumsbahn") and a former living and workshop carriage of the German Federal Railway from the 1960s have been converted into modern, fully air-conditioned vacation apartments.

The bar car has two apartments, each with a bedroom, bathroom with shower and toilet, modern compact kitchen and a cozy living-dining area.


The slightly larger seating car (B 607) also offers two apartments with bedroom, bathroom with shower and toilet, modern compact kitchen and a cozy living-dining area, moreover, these apartments each have an additional children's room with two bunk beds.

The former living and workshop car is also suitable for up to 4 people with similar equipment as the seating car.

Each unit has a living area of about 30 square meters, is stylishly furnished to a high standard and has its own terrace.
The standard rental is Sun-Sun, Sun-Thu or Thu-Sun. Extensive brochure material awaits you with many tips for your vacation.

Bus and train stop, as well as cycling and hiking trails, bike rental and supermarkets are in the immediate vicinity.

The restaurant "Altes Bahnhöf'l" also belongs to the vacation station. In the historic train station "Busenberg-Schindhard" with half-timbered and tiled stove atmosphere, a home-style, regional, seasonal cuisine awaits you today. Breakfast buffet or half board can be booked. On the Mediterranean terrace, you can end your vacation days comfortably with a glass of beer or wine. The restaurant "Altes Bahnhöf'l" has been awarded as a hospitable house in the Southwest Palatinate and in the Varta Guide.
