In twenty minutes you can walk to the Hillebachsee, a mountain lake with a beach where you can practice numerous activities such as swimming, volleyball, fishing and water skiing. Ideal for a day of relaxation or sport in summer. Also nearby is the Hochheide, the largest mountain heath in north-west Germany, which turns a beautiful purple color in late summer. In winter it is a Walhalla for everyone who loves snow: cross-country skiing, tobogganing, skiing on the Ettelsberg in Niedersfeld or the snow-sure Winterberg. 10 minutes
