We rent a listed half-timbered house built around 1850, which was completely renovated and partially rebuilt in 2024. The house was previously used as a shepherd's house, community house, orphanage, and most recently as a residential house.
The house is located directly on the dream loop “Diller Burgpfad & the Elfenpfad” not far from the Roman road between Mainz and Trier. In the listed Dill, there is the castle ruin and the Protestant church built in 1701, which can be reached on foot from the holiday apartment. The nearby Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park is very suitable for hiking or cycling tours.
The town of Kirchberg can be reached in just 5 minutes and is the oldest town in the Hunsrück, offering a lovely spot to linger with its historic marketplace. There are several supermarkets, a drugstore, a pharmacy, a butcher shop, and 3 bakeries. In the nearby town of Sohren (4 km away), you can find supermarkets, a pharmacy, and bakeries. The Hahn airport can be reached in 10 minutes. The Rhine, Moselle, and Nahe rivers are within 30 minutes. The B50 is only a few minutes away from Dill, which provides access to the cities of Koblenz/Cologne, Wittlich/Trier, as well as Mainz/Ludwigshafen.
