Framed by the Soonwald and the Simmerbach Valley, the accommodation in the middle of the Soonwald-Nahe Nature Park exudes a true feel-good atmosphere. Extensive deciduous forest areas and breathtaking views of the surrounding Hunsrück landscape are sure to delight nature lovers and seekers of tranquility. The camping pods are ideal for those traveling light and serve as an affordable and attractive overnight option for hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists, and anyone looking for a little vacation in nature. Here, you can recharge your energy. The camping pods are located in an idyllic setting on the outskirts of the municipality of Gehlweiler and are just a few minutes' walk from the town center.

At the community house of Gehlweiler, there are two vending machines stocked with regional delicacies. From meats and sausages to alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a topographical cycling and hiking map of the Hunsrück-Mittelrhein region, which is perfect for planning your next day trip, no wishes are left unfulfilled. Everything can be easily purchased by card or cash.

In almost untouched nature, the stay in the 4.8 m long and 2.4 m wide camping pods becomes an extraordinary experience. Up to three people can be accommodated in one of the two camping pods. At the back of the accommodation, there are two single beds (each 80 x 200), providing excellent sleeping comfort after an eventful day. The living area at the front of the camping pod offers ample space with a small seating area consisting of a table and two stools, as well as a bench that can be converted into a third sleeping option. The pods in rustic arch construction are equipped with light, sockets, and an infrared heater. Additionally, there is a bench available outside to enjoy the wonderful view.

Shower facilities and separate toilets are located in close proximity to the two camping pods (towels can be provided upon request).

There is also the option to park your car, motorcycle, or bicycle nearby.


The price includes made-up beds, use of the sanitary facilities, and final cleaning.

The camping pods can be booked with or without breakfast. To enhance your holiday experience, the breakfast package can easily be added when booking the overnight accommodation.
