Thyborøn is located at the mouth of the Limfjord where it meets the North Sea, so you are close to both the sea and the fjord. The town originated at the harbor, and this is also where you will find most of the attractions, shops, and restaurants. The whole family will love a visit to Jyllands Akvariet, where you are welcomed into a whimsical world beneath the surface of the water. Here you can pet a shark or hold a crab. There is the Snail House, the life's work of a single man who has decorated an entire house - inside and out - with millions of snail shells and shells. The Sea War Museum is also located at the harbor, where you can get a good insight into, among other things, the world's largest naval battle, The Battle of Jutland, which took place during World War I.
