Our holiday home is nestled in the floodplains of the Loire Valley, surrounded by Renaissance castles (5 of the most beautiful castles within <15km), great local markets, quaint villages for exploration, and plenty of wine. Far from mass tourism, it's an ideal place to unwind with a wealth of options for nature lovers (orchids in the meadow in front of the house), culture enthusiasts, athletes, and foodies. Simply lying in the garden and harvesting fresh organic vegetables right from the bed is also perfectly feasible.
The 16th-century house with a modern extension is suitable for 4 people, offers over 5,000m2 of garden, and is located outside a small village in complete tranquility.

Sehr schöner Urlaub
Beglückende Tage in La Cueille
Lesen und Entspannen.
Außerdem ein großer Gemüse- und Kräutergarten aus
dem wir uns großzügig bedienen durften. Alles Bio! Salate, Artischocken,
Bohnen und Koriander!! wurden sofort in die perfekt ausgestattete Küche
getragen und verarbeitet, das macht wirklich Spaß.
Die zwei Häuser, das alte mit dem neuen genial verbunden, haben einen
ganz großen Charme. Das Alte sehr behutsam restauriert und beide mit viel
Geschmack eingerichtet.
Eigentlich wollten wir von dort nie weg. Der Ausflug zu zwei, drei
Schlössern und der Aperitif in Brehemont direkt am Ufer der Loire hatten
sich dann doch gelohnt. Aber froh danach wieder unter den wunderschönen
Kugelakazien zu sitzen.

Alle hohen Erwartungen übertroffen
Wir vergaßen fast, die zahlreichen Schlösser zu besichtigen, die manchmal nur die Zeit zwischen dem wundervollen Frühstück und dem Wein in der Abendsonne oder am traumhaft sanierten Kamin überbrückten.
Croissants und Wein gibt es im Ort, Lesestoff in einer umfangreichen Bibliothek im Haus. Wer sich hier nicht wohlfühlen kann, dem ist nicht zu helfen.

Leben wie Gott in Frankreich
"La Cueille" ist ein wahrer Glücksgriff. Die Tage die wir dort verbringen durften vergingen viel zu schnell. Das Haus besteht aus zwei Teilen. Der Alte, ist wunderbar renoviert und besteht im Grunde nur aus einem einzigen großen Raum mit Esstisch, Sofas und dem alten Kamin. Die Luft duftet nach Sommer, Honig-Melone und den Feuern, die im Winter sicherlich für Behaglichkeit sorgen.
Der neue Anbau in gleicher Größe verfügt über Bad, zwei gemütliche Schlafzimmer und eine kleine Küche mit Blick auf den wunderbar gepflegten Garten. Die Ausstattung ist vom feinsten und es fehlte an nichts.
Wir können das Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen!
Einzigartiges Traumhaus in Landidylle
Wunderbares Anwesen in idyllischer Lage
Das Haus wird von einem riesigen Garten samt Gemüsebeet, in dem man sich bedienen darf (während unseres Aufenthalts u.a. herrliche Tomaten, Salatköpfe und Bohnen), umgeben und ist in sehr ruhiger Umgebung etwas außerhalb des Städtchens Rivarennes gelegen. In der weiteren Umgebung sind per Auto, Zug oder mit vor Ort vorhandenen Fahrrädern zahlreiche Loire-Schlösser und nette Städte (Langeais, Chinon, Tours, ...) erreichbar.
Alles in allem eine wunderbare Woche, die leider viel zu schnell vergangen ist.
