The house was built using cutting-edge ecological techniques and was exclusively constructed using materials from the local area. The breathable walls made from sun-dried clay bricks, clay plaster and cork insulation provide a wonderful, unparalleled indoor climate, even when the weather's very hot outside. Ideal for people with allergies.
The house has its own water supply with a cutting-edge triple-chamber waste water disposal system and planted filter beds.
A solar-aided stove makes the accommodation a comfortable place to stay, even in winter. The house consists of 2 level-access apartments, one of which is available to rent. You can rent both apartments in July and August. Each of the apartments is approx. 80 square metres in size and features 2 bedrooms with double beds (cot available if required), 1 bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower, and a living room with a fully equipped, integrated kitchen.
The house is furnished in a colourful, rural style. The walls feature a changing selection of original works of art.
The large terraces next to a meadow that falls down to the sea are enticing places to eat, relax, sunbathe and enjoy a barbecue. The large plot of land sits in the Costa Vicentina Nature Park. The house enjoys fantastic panoramic views of the sea and the Monchique mountains inland.
Head through a gate in the lower part of the plot to reach a little beach that's just a few minutes' walk away through a valley that's filled with the scent of herbs. There are lots of wonderful places to hike around the house with innumerable, breathtaking views of the rocky coastal landscape that's lined with little beaches.
