Nowhere is Cinque Terre more beautiful, for from up here, one can truly appreciate this landscape.
Volastra is part of the town of Manarola, which is probably the most beautiful of the 5 villages of Cinque Terre (at least that's what the connoisseurs say).
Manarola is also great for swimming in the sea, as the crystal-clear water in the "natural pool" is very inviting. In Manarola, there are very good restaurants (Da Billy, Marina Piccola, etc.) where you can enjoy a romantic lunch or dinner. For those freshly in love (or "old" lovers), there's the Via dell'Amore, the coastal path that leads from Manarola to Riomaggiore. There, you can have an aperitif or eat at the Bar dell'Amore with a spectacular view over the rocks. Very romantic and simply beautiful!

The holiday apartment, like almost all houses in Volastra, does not have a sea view but faces the countryside or looks into the garden/courtyard. However, if you walk 150 meters into the vineyards, you will be greeted with the most beautiful panorama from high above of the deep blue sea and the steep coast of Cinque Terre.
Comment s'y rendre
Exit the motorway at La Spezia (not Cinque Terre). Then take the road leading to Riomaggiore, pass Riomaggiore, pass Manarola, pass Groppo, and you will find yourself in Volastra. We offer you a private parking space (very rare in the Cinque Terre).
By train: to Genoa or La Spezia and then on the regional train to Manarola. From the pharmacy in Manarola, a minibus goes to Volastra (every 30 minutes in the high season).
By plane: to Pisa or Genoa and then continue by rental car, or by train as previously described.

Perfekt für einen Kurzurlaub
Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub!
Schon bei Ankunft wurden wir mit den wichtigsten Informationen von Andrea versorgt so wie man es sich wünscht. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr zu empfehlen, sehr sauber und enthält alles was man im Urlaub braucht. Andrea und Sandro waren immer hilfsbereit und freundlich und gaben uns viele Tipps. Die Lage von Volastra ist wunderschön und als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Unternehmungen bestens geeignet.

Wanderurlaub
Die Gegend ist der Traum zum Wandern. Danach ab ins Meer. Eine Woche Auto stehenlassen und mit Bus und Bahn unterwegs sein ist auch spitze.
Unser persönlicher Tipp:
Nissun Dorma Food&Wine in Manorola, unsere Lieblingsbar. Coole Musik, toller Ausblick, leckeres Bruschetta etc

Perfekte Lage, Perfekte Wohnung
Es war alles sauber und für die, die gerne auch im Urlaub kochen, gibt es eine super ausgestattete Küche. Sogar den Grill draußen kann man nutzen. Frau Thamm war auch immer gut erreichbar, wenn man Fragen oder Wünsche hatte. Der Ort ist der perfekte Start um Cinque Terre zu erkunden.
Wir sind jetzt noch im "Cinque Terre-Fieber" und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Wir freuen uns dass es Ihnen bei uns sehr gut gefallen hat und wuenschen Ihnen noch einen schoenen Sommer 2016.
Auch ich selbst bin immer wieder begeistert von der Schoenheit der Landschaft der Cinque Terre die man hier oben in der Hoehenlage und Ruhe von Volastra am besten geniessen kann. Ich laufe sehr haeufig (auch im Winter) den Weg in den Weinbergen von Volastra nach Corniglia denn er ist so bequem zu laufen (keine Steigungen) und bietet ein unglaublich schoenes und unvergessliches Panorama (auf ca. 280 Meter Hoehe, fuer mich das schoenste der ganzen Cinque Terre). Einige dieser Weinberge gehoeren Sandro und er arbeitet oft darin.
Auch der Weg von Volastra nach Manarola ist sehr sehr schoen und geht immer bergab. Danach fahren wir von Manarola mit dem Autobus nach Volastra zurueck (10 Minuten).
Sie konnten das Alles erleben und wir danken Ihnen fuer Ihren Aufenthalt.

Mit etwas Organisationstalent kommt man mit Bus, Bahn und Schiff überall hin und zurück.

Die Vermieter waren absolut herzlich und hilfsbereit. Sie haben den Urlaub komplett und rund gemacht: Direkt vom Empfang an waren wir gut aufgehoben und wussten für ALLE unsere Fragen und Wünsche in ihnen einen Ansprechpartner zu finden.
Zur Ausstattung noch ein Wort: Die Wohnung ist echt gut ausgestattet - 5 Sterne sind für mich halt das four-seasons mit eingebautem Zimmermädchen. ;)
