Our detached holiday home ‘de Heerlijkheid Wimmenum’ is beautifully situated between the polder landscape of North Holland, the dunes, the woodlands and the coast. A unique holiday residence with plenty of space, nestling in nature on a plot of some 380 m2.

A private drive with a gate that can be locked provides access to this welcoming holiday house. If desired, your electric car can be connected to the charging point as soon as you arrive. Find instant and perfect peace and relaxation in the beautifully landscaped flower garden. We have placed a number of patios around your holiday home to provide relaxation from sunrise to sunset, wherever in the garden you happen to be.

Your paradise residence has wellness facilities that include a Jacuzzi and a sauna, featuring an outdoor shower of your own of course, with hot and cold water. Prepare all sorts of dishes on the outdoor barbecue and afterwards enjoy your meal at the spacious picnic table. The outdoor barbecue can also function as an outdoor fireplace. Make sure you take time to enjoy the view of the dunes and woodlands, and to admire our cockerels, hens and goats out in the meadow.

And what can be more relaxing at the end of the day than to dream away underneath the arbour looking out onto the murmuring water feature?

‘De Heerlijkheid Wimmenum’ is located in Wimmenum between ‘het Woud’ and Egmond aan den Hoef, a good two kilometres from the beach. In the environs you will find the bathing resorts of Bergen aan Zee, Egmond aan Zee and Schoorl aan Zee. A little farther afield, Alkmaar forms an attraction with its canals and historical sights, its inviting restaurants and cafes. The village of Schoorl with its impressive centrally located climbing dune is a perfect place to take a break during a bicycle tour. An absolute must, of course, is the famous artisan village of Bergen with its lovely handicraft markets. When you are there, make sure you visit the centrally located monumental Ruïnekerk. This church is surrounded by a good selection of outstanding restaurants and cafés, fashion boutiques and other inviting shops.

Starting from your holiday home, you can make any number of walking and bicycle tours using no end of routes - too many to name. You can also take the car to make a round trip of North Holland. Visit historical cities like Amsterdam and Haarlem. Revisit the past in open-air museum De Zaanse Schans on the outskirts of Zaandam - a past that is still tangibly present in the centuries-old Zuiderzee towns of Hoorn, Enkhuizen and Medemblik.

THE HOUSE

Layout:

Hall with cloakroom, toilet and metre box. A glass sliding door provides access to the deluxe open kitchen annex living room.

For maximum comfort during your stay, the kitchen is fitted with the following equipment: fridge-freezer combination, ceramic cooker, oven/microwave and dishwasher. JURA coffee machine, electric kettle, air fryer, toasted sandwich maker and citrus press.

Living room with cosy lounge corner, open fire, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi and Sonos speakers. A room with atmosphere and plenty of natural light from the large high windows.

The open staircase takes you to the first floor with two bedrooms, a bathroom and storage space. The landing is designed to accommodate the washing machine and dryer.

One bedroom has a double bed, modern full-wall mirror wardrobe and built-in TV and Sonos speaker. The second bedroom has two single beds and is also fitted with a spacious mirror wardrobe and Sonos speaker. Both rooms offer a panoramic view.
