Even Berlin, Potsdam and Rostock are not too far away for a day trip. The harbour village of Müritz offers a wide range of maritime activities for boat owners and guests who wish to charter a boat. From Marina Müritz, there is lock- and bridge-free access to Lake Müritz. You can hire open sports boats that do not require a licence or rent larger houseboats. It is also possible to obtain a boat licence. You can also moor your own boat; there is a 90-tonne crane, a 3.2-tonne column-type slewing crane, a trailer parking area, a marina shop and, of course, a shipyard service.
