The other option is to go through Ilirska Bistrica and cross the border at Rupa, but in this case, you have to either drive on a curvy coastal road from Rijeka, or you can pay 4-5 euros for the Učka tunnel and follow the same route Lupoglav-Šušnjevica-Labin-Ranch Marconi.
