In the past, distinguished guests of the Bergzabern ruling family resided here, the European nobility gathered at the court of Count Palatine Walram and his descendants, trans-European marriage plans were forged within the prevailing political alliances, and by the mid-18th century, distinguished guests already enjoyed a special atmosphere of hospitality in the then "Ritterhaus" amidst hilly vineyards.

For almost 200 years, the former "Remise" of Bergzabern Castle lay under a mantle of changing gastronomic businesses. Now carefully renovated considering monument protection aspects and using authentic building materials from the region, the beautiful historic estate at the entrance of the Bad Bergzabern old town is awakening to new splendor.
