In winter, skiers, carvers and snowboarders feel equally at home on the more than 15 kilometers of slopes in the Petzen ski area in St. Michael near Bleiburg, about 30 minutes from Sankt Kanzian. Alternatively, the small but fine Koralpe ski area offers 18 perfectly groomed slopes of all levels of difficulty and deep snow slopes.
