in the hiking paradise of Hohe Tauern National Park

In summer, you will find a hiking paradise here. The Mühlbachtal is a diverse hiking area. Don't forget: a bag for collecting berries and mushrooms should always be part of the hiking gear. The "Rettenstein" is one of the most distinctive mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps, and at the "Baumgartenalm," there is a worthwhile cheese dairy.

Tip: On a treasure hunt in the Habachtal. The natural valley in Hohe Tauern National Park is particularly significant because of its emerald mine. The Habachtal is home to the only significant emerald deposit in Europe.
