Whether with family, friends or romantically as a couple, our Almchalet Goldbergleiten offers the perfect setting for a wonderful holiday. In our former mountain farmhouse, built with healthy solid wood construction, you can experience an authentic mountain summer in peace and nature and a winter holiday like from a fairy tale.

Mountain hikes, mountain bike tours and, in midwinter, snowshoe and ski tours are possible right from the front door. The Heiligenblut-Grossglockner ski area is about 15 minutes by car. Your children and your dogs can play and run around to their heart's content. Because there is no car traffic here anymore, behind us there is only forest and nature. Nevertheless, you can reach the village of Sagritz in around 10 minutes via the hiking trail, where there is a tavern, shops and, in winter, a ski bus stop.

For you as a guest of our house, this means: Exclusive mountain and adventure tours with the national park rangers, free use of the gondola lifts in the summer season, free travel on Carinthia's most beautiful panoramic mountain roads, free entry to the Grosskirchheim adventure pool and over 100 other museums , castles and leisure attractions across the country. There are special events for children that introduce them to the world of mountains, animals and the forest in a playful way. You get the Kärnten Card at no extra cost, from the first to the last day of your vacation!

Three cozy bedrooms with natural wooden furniture in hut style, each with a balcony and a view of the 3,000-meter peaks of the Hohe Tauern, and the peace and quiet of our secluded location ensure relaxation and healthy sleep. Of course there is high-speed WiFi throughout the house and a smart TV with Netflix, internet browser and the most important streaming channels.

The country house kitchen is perfectly equipped with a dishwasher, oven with ceramic hob, old wood stove and all kitchen appliances. Elaborate dishes can also be easily prepared there, and the open architecture to the old parlor ensures sociability and communication. Beautiful table linen, fine tableware and designer glasses make eating together an experience. And if you don't want to cook, we'll be happy to spoil you with exquisite culinary delights such as fondue or barbecue evenings, seafood dinners fresh from the Adriatic or a gourmet wine tasting from the landlord's legendary wine cellar.

Outside, a large sun terrace with barbecue area invites you to have a barbecue, and even in winter you can sunbathe in our Alpine sun on a deck chair. Our large, sunny natural garden with a breathtaking mountain panorama is perfect for relaxing and for the kids to play. You can use the organic herbs that we cultivate there to your heart's content. If you come with mountain bikes or motorcycles, you can store them safely in our lockable garage.

Personal warmth is very important to us.
We will personally welcome you to the Almchalet, give you information about the house and the region and of course there will also be a welcome drink for the “big” and “little” guests. We would also be happy to give you insider tips for ski tours, excursions or hikes, and organize restaurant reservations or tours with the national park rangers for you. As an official national park partner, we have competent knowledge about the mountains, alpine sports, hiking and culture of our Hohe Tauern - Grossglockner holiday region.

In the former mountain farmhouse, built in an ecologically exemplary and healthy solid wood construction style, lovingly and carefully renovated, you can expect peace, relaxation, and alpine experiences in crystal-clear and fog-free mountain air. And if you wish, also exquisite culinary delights such as fondue or barbecue evenings, seafood dinners fresh from the Adriatic, or gourmet wine tastings from the legendary wine cellar of the host.

With 3 fully equipped bedrooms, a rustic, large farmhouse parlor with a wood stove and perfect kitchen facilities, and an extra reading room, our alpine chalet offers plenty of space for relaxation and vacation for up to 6 people. Because we believe that a mountain vacation should also include a bit of luxury. Luxury for time, space, and leisure... Unplugging from everyday life, chilling on the large sun terrace in a deck chair, letting your soul dangle, simply recharging your batteries...

The name "Goldbergleiten" comes from the massif of the Goldberg group, at the foot of which our mountain chalet is located, where active gold and silver mining was still practiced until about 100 years ago. Even today, guests can try their hand at gold panning in the summer; with quite realistic chances of success. Your hosts Uli and Alla look forward to your visit, and dogs are not only allowed but are warmly welcomed!
