About 2 kilometers to the northeast is the Grüner Brink nature reserve, a breeding ground for a whole range of rare waterfowl. Spend your vacation on the third largest island in Germany, between the Bays of Kiel and Mecklenburg in the Baltic Sea. Wenkendorf is located in the north of the island and is a district of the city of Fehmarn. The surrounding fields and the remaining rural charm inside make the place. Fehmarn's 20 beaches measure more than 78 km in length - ideal for relaxing in one of the sunniest regions in Germany. You can reach the island from the mainland via the Fehmarn Sound Bridge.
