Giardini Naxos is located in a small bay with green hills sloping down to the crystal clear sea, in the province of Messina. It is the perfect destination for those in search of splendid sea and magnificent beaches, such as the wide beach of Recanati, the beach of Schisò with golden sand and lush vegetation, and the beach of Porticciolo Saia with small bays bordered by lava rocks. Not to be missed is the Castle of Schisò, part of the archaeological complex of the Gardens of Naxos and the archaeological site with remains of buildings from the Roman and Greek periods. Excursions from here to Taormina, the Alcantara Gorges, the Riviera dei Ciclopi and Mount Etna should not be overlooked.
