The Ötztal begins about 40 km west of Innsbruck in the Inntal. The Ötztal is reached most easily via the Inntal motorway A12 (road tax sticker required). From the Ötztal exit, follow the Ötztal Str. (B186) to Umhausen.
To the Sonnenhof
Shortly before the end of the town of Umhausen, turn left and then right onto Niederthaier Str. toward Ötzidorf. Follow the street downwards and through the forest to the Gasthof Stuibenfall and further to Niederthai. Turn left at the crossing in Niederthai over the bridge and drive on the higher street to the first house with a surrounding meadow!
