In the immediate area, 150 meters from the tiller, there is a shallow sandy beach with nice swimming opportunities. The nearest town is Brattvåg, 10 km by car or 2 minutes by boat. Here are all service options such as a shopping centre, restaurant, etc. About 600 meters behind the wheelhouse, there are marked paths that go, among other things, to the mountain Hellandshornet, 886 meters above sea level, with a fantastic 360-degree view. Other nearby mountains are Kneipen and Storefjell, 950 m.a.s.l., which can be strongly recommended as nice mountain walks. Furthermore, there are opportunities for shorter mountain trips for those who just want a short trip to enjoy nature and the silence. Stordalselva, a large salmon and trout river, is 50 km away. At Fannedalsvannet and Synnalandsvannet, 15 km away, there are nice recreational areas. Here you can get trout up to about 0.5 kg. Rorbuen is located in the middle between the cities of Ålesund and Molde. 100 meters from the tiller are the boats that are available for hire in the marina. There is also a separate covered filleting area for fish with running water and lights nearby.
