The holiday home is firmly booked by the tenants. If the tenants do not commence their journey - for whatever reasons - the landlord is entitled to the deposit. The landlord will attempt to re-rent the holiday home. If successful, the tenants receive 90 percent of their rental fee back. If re-renting is not successful, the tenants must pay 50 percent of the remaining payment, provided they declare their withdrawal in writing at least six weeks before the rental period begins. If the tenants withdraw in the last six weeks before the rental period begins, and another tenant cannot be found, then 90 percent of the remaining payment is due to the landlord. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.
