On the right is the utility room and directly next to it the guest toilet. The ground floor is reached via a staircase. First is the kitchen, which is open to the dining and living area. The open area is about 70 sqm. The bedroom on the ground floor is located at the end directly next to the sitting area and the storage room/cloakroom. Here is also the exit to the church street and the seating area in the courtyard. If you go
back to the kitchen, there is a staircase with 4 steps leading to the bathroom. From there you also reach the stairs to the upper floor, where there is another bedroom.
In the middle of the beautiful old town of Montabaur with its charming cafés and shops lies our holiday loft "Ählchen". The half-timbered house was extensively renovated in 2023 and converted into a holiday flat in the Westerwald with all the amenities of a new building.
The house is centrally located in the heart of the old town and is part of the German Half-Timbered House Route. It is very quiet in the evenings because the loft is in the second row.
The renovation brings back the charm of the house, which housed a cult restaurant for more than half a century. Historic doors, old advertising signs and visible half-timbered beams are part of the soul of our house.
On Thursdays and Saturdays you can buy fresh bread and other delicacies at the weekly market, which is a 5-minute walk away.
A large family playground on the Quendelberg with mini golf, half pipe and various climbing equipment is also within walking distance.
Come to our holiday flat, as it is an ideal starting point for discovery tours through Montabaur and the Westerwald.
Whether it's a family holiday or a time-out with friends, the accommodation is perfect for spending time together thanks to its spacious layout.
