Nestled in a quietly sunny spot on the picturesque Ramsau am Dachstein high plateau lies our Haus Südwandblick. From our home, gorgeous panoramic views reach out across the impressive Dachstein mountains, and the beautiful peaks of the Schladming Tauern seem to be within reach.

Thanks to our location at Ramsau Vorberg, Haus Südwandblick is the ideal starting point for hikes, climbs, and mountain-bike tours in summer, and, in winter, for cross-country and alpine skiing. The bus stop is only a two-minute walk away, and one of the Ramsau ski lifts, the Drachenlift is very close by.

Enjoy the most beautiful time of the year with your friends or family in one of our brightly furnished holiday apartments, accommodating 2 - 4 people. All holiday flats in Haus Südwandblick have Wi-Fi, satellite TV, shower/WC, kitchenette, and a balcony with great views across the surrounding mountains. Our smaller guests can play to their hearts’ content on our large lawn.

We are happy to offer bed and breakfast accommodation at nearby Haus Bergwald. As our guest in one of the Haus Südwandblick holiday flats, you are also welcome to enjoy the buffet breakfast at Haus Bergwald for an extra charge.

A particular highlight for our guests is our in-house mountain and ski guide, Johan Knaus, who is happy to offer, for an extra charge, guided hiking, climbing, ski touring, and snowshoeing tours at anytime. He will also happily help you to plan your own tours anytime, should you want to go for it without a guide.

Ramsau am Dachstein has a cross-country trail for all abilities. From the beginner to the experienced World Cup athlete, everyone finds their level. And from Haus Südwandblick, you can head off right into the 220 km network of cross-country ski runs from our front door. From the nearby bus station, you can reach - in no time - Ramsau ski resort with Kali’s adventure ski runs, the Dachstein glacier, and Schladming, the centre of the four interlinked mountains and heart of ski amade.

In summer, Haus Südwandblick is the perfect starting point for unforgettable hikes, peak challenges along the most scenic via ferratas of the Alps, or a long mountain-bike tour. In the Schladming-Dachstein holiday region, the many huts and hot spots, such as the Rittisberg with its alpine coaster and Ramsau Beach swimming lake, offer adventure and variety for the whole family. Don’t miss out on a gondola ride up to the Dachstein glacier, where you can visit the Ice Palace and dare yourself to a walk on the suspension bridge.
