The big "Captains Flat" Lady of the Lake has been named after the first steamboat on the river Elbe, a Scottish paddle steamer. A crowd gathered when it landed at Tangermünde in 1816. The view from the house is impressive: Over the river, the city walls and up to the city with it´s massive old St. Stephan´s church. The flat offers bathtub and shower in two different bathrooms, a huge livingroom and different beautiful lookouts. It´s cosy and spacious. The maisonette which is flooded light has antic wood flooring. The "Lady of the Lake" with it´s magnificent outlook at any weather condition is the heart of our house.

The house is lovingly restored fishermen´s home from 1629. A jewel because of it´s location. In front of the house spans a little bridge over the old way leading out of the city to the river, just in front of medieval main citygate. We call the little bridge "Eselsbrücke".
Cómo llegar
It´s 200 km from Hannover or Hamburg and only 120 km from Berlin to Tangermünde. The little old town is very close to Stendal. You can reach Tangermünde by train via Stendal, on bicycle traveling on the Elbe cycling track, by boat traveling on the river Elbe or by car via Magdeburg, Wolfsburg or Rathenow. Tangermünde is a stopover on the St. James Way from Brandenburg to Saxony Anhalt.

Wir haben die Lady of the Lake für einen Wochenendausflug mit Freunden nach Tangermünde gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Schöne Wohnung, liebevoll eingerichtet, allerdings empfanden wir die Küche für 6 Personen etwas klein und eng. Alle Zimmer/Bäder sind gepflegt und sauber. Kommunikation mit Vermieter war reibungslos und sehr ausführlich. Wir hatten großes Glück mit dem Wetter - nur Sonnenschein - DANKE für die schöne Zeit.

Top Ferienwohnung mit ausgezeichneter Ausstattung in Top Lage. Von den 3 Wohnungen im Haus ist das die Schönste. Die Aussicht ist einmalig. Man kann wirklich gut ausspannen aber auch sehr aktiv sein auf dem nahegelegenen Elbe-Radweg.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Lage ist nicht zu toppen (mitten in der Altstadt). Wir waren 6 Personen und hatten ausreichend Platz in der Wohnung. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Schöne Wohnung, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, ausreichend Platz für 5. Maisonette vielleicht nicht für Kleinkinder, da steile Treppe.

herzlichen Dank für die schöne Bewertung. Wir freuen uns sehr dass es Ihnen gefallen hat. Die Treppen in der uralten Stadt haben es in sich. Unsere, in der Lady of the Lake, ist allerdings ein "Waisenmädel" im Vergleich zu vielen Stiegen und Treppchen in der verwinkelten mittelalterlichen Stadt. Aber das macht ja auch den besonderen Reiz aus.

Liebe Gastgeber, acht Architektinnen auf Erkundung in Tangermünde! Was für eine schöne Stadt und ein schönes Haus! Wir haben uns im ganzen Haus breit gemacht. Alle Wohnungen sind schön. Es hat uns sehr gefallen, insbesondere der Mix aus Alt und Neu, die exellente Instandsetzung, witzige Details, die Möglichkeit von zusätzlichen Kissen, die Weinbar im Keller mit der Möglichkeit des Erwerbs für einen gemütlichen Abend. Einzig ein Fön wurde vermisst, der aber wohl noch nachgerüstet wird. Wir waren die zweiten Mieter. In kurzer Entfernung absolut einmalige Gaststätten! Wir können und haben sowohl das Haus als auch die Stadt weiterempfohlen und einige wollen mit ihrer Familie wiederkommen.
