Holiday apartment Strandgroet à Groet, North Holland

Groet is a quiet village at the foot of the extensive dune area, the Schoorlse dunes. In the village there are all necessary shops, such as a supermarket and a bakery. There is also a bike rental and many small restaurants in the village. Groet lies on the border with the dunes and polders. From the holiday home you can reach the breathtaking dune area, where dunes and forest alternate, on foot or by bike. You can reach the beach in 10 minutes by bike. On foot through the dune area you can reach the sea within 20 minutes. The Harger and Pettem polder, a beautiful polder area, through which you can cycle comfortably on the polder trails and watch special birds at the bird islands "De Putten", are certainly worth a bike tour.

Schoorl
By bike you are in Schoorl within a few minutes at one of the cafes near the beautiful climbing dune. Of course you can also pay a visit to the “Schoorlse Duinen” visitor center and find out about current events and excursions for young and old. There is also a great play forest for children with u.a. a water playground and a feeling path.

Bergen 
If you cycle through the dunes, you will be in the artist village of Bergen within 25 minutes, where you can relax in one of the cafés around the Ruïnekerk, stroll through the many galleries and shops or watch a film in Cinebergen , For the art and culture lovers there are the museums Kranenburgh and Het Sterkenhuis. Don't forget to take a look at Park Meerwijk with its beautiful villas in the style of the Amsterdam School.
 
Alkmaar and Amsterdam
The historic city of Alkmaar with its beautiful canals and great old streets is just around the corner. From April to September there is also the famous cheese market.
 
You can be in Amsterdam within an hour by car or public transport.

For children
The children's play park De Goudvis in Sint Maartenszee has a large indoor and outdoor playground and can therefore be visited in any weather. In the Holle Bolle Boom in Tuitjehorn, your children can have fun in the swimming pool or on one of the playgrounds.
 
Would you rather spend a day at the zoo? Then the Van Blanckendaell Park in Tuitjehorn or the Landgoed Hoenderdaell in Anna Paulowna are just the thing.
