Endlich wieder Kato Vatos! Mit unseren Kindern und deren Partnern haben wir auch diesmal eine fantastische, entspannte und unvergessliche Zeit in dieser wunderschönen Ferienvilla verbracht. Der großzügige und wunderschön gestaltete Garten mit dem herrlichen Pool, der Ausblick auf das Tal und die beeindruckende Bergkulisse......traumhaft! Die Einrichtung, die komfortablen Betten....zum Wohlfühlen!
Nicht zu vergessen das süße Dorf Kamilari , dass es trotz steigender Beliebtheit geschafft hat, seinen urigen und extrem gastfreundlichen Charakter bewahrt hat.
Der Abschied viel uns sehr schwer!

Kato Vatos ist ein Traum! Die Villa ist ruhig gelegen und bietet eine traumhafte Sicht auf die Berge. Der Garten mit seinen Olivenbäumen und wunderschönen Pflanzen ist so idyllisch, dass man Kato Vatos eigentlich gar nicht mehr verlassen möchte. Man hört das Rauschen der Bäume und das Zwitschern der Vögel und entspannt im Schatten eines Olivenbaumes am Pool oder auf der Terrasse.
Das Haus ist sehr großzügig und mit allem Comfort eingerichtet, den man sich wünscht. Alles ist sauber und top gepflegt.
Kamilari mit seinen netten Tavernen hat uns sehr gefallen. Empfehlen können wir vor allem den Strand von Komos.
Vivienne und John sind zwei wunderbare und herzliche Gastgeber. Sie waren jederzeit für uns da und haben uns sogar mit leckeren Kirschen und Gebäck überracht.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wunderschöne Villa mit tollem Gartenbereich und Swimmingpool. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und hat Seele. Es gibt ganz viele kleinere Nischen und Sitzgelegenheiten mit tollem Ausblick auf die Berge. Zu erwähnen ist auch das separate Apartment mit großer Terrasse und atemberaubender Aussicht in der oberen Etage. Wir haben uns in der Villa Katos sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten super entspannen. Ein kleiner Supermarkt und verschiedene kleinere gemütliche Restaurants können zu Fuss in wenigen Minuten erreicht werden. Innerhalb von 10-15 Minuten erreicht man mehrere Sandstrände (Komos, Matala, Red Sand). Wir würden die Villa Katos jederzeit wieder buchen !

Wir hatten noch nie so ein perfektes Ferienhaus. Die Villa Kato Vatos ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, es ist alles vorhanden was man für einen schönen, entspannten Urlaub benötigt und noch viel mehr. Die vielen schattigen Plätze (natürlicher Schatten unter Bäumen) im Garten sind herrlich zum Entspannen und auch im Garten sieht man die Liebe zum Detail mit den vielen Blumen. Ich könnte immer so weiter schwärmen. Wir hatten einen rund um entspannten Urlaub in Kato Vatos. Die Tipps von Vivienne sind sehr gut und die Lokale die sie vorschlägt waren wirklich herrlich, alle waren ausgesprochen nett und freundlich. Den vorigen Bewertungen kann ich nur zustimmen.

Wir haben mit der ganzen Familie (drei Generationen) eine Woche in Kato Vatos verbracht und sind absolut begeistert. Die Anlage ist wirklich wunderschön gestaltet und bei der Ausstattung mangelt es an nichts. John und Vivienne waren sehr herzliche Gastgeber und alle ihre Empfehlungen für Unternehmungen sowie einige Restaurants in der Umgebung haben uns ausnahmslos sehr gut gefallen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen, um weitere Stunden auf der schönen Terrasse mit dem traumhaften Ausblick zu verbringen.

Zwei Wochen in dieser herrlichen Villa verbringen zu können, war einfach traumhaft. Noch nie haben wir so ein perfektes Haus vorgefunden und zwar in jeder Beziehung: Lage , Ausstattung, Atmosphäre, alles stimmte bis ins Detail. Der große Garten mit seinen Terrassen bietet trotz der Hitze immer irgendwo Schatten, Sonennschirme sind komplett überflüssig. Abends kann man sich kaum entscheiden, wo im Garten oder auf der Dachterrasse man sich mit einem Glas Wein niederlassen möchtl. Der Blick auf die Berge und den Sternenhimmel sind einfach überwältigend. Als sehr erholungsfördernd haben wir auch die Aufteilung des Hauses empfunden. Mit 2 großen "Kindern" (16 & 19) hatte jeder seinen Rückzugsbereich. Vivienne, Sie sind eine wunderbare und unkomplizierte Gastgeberin und hoffen sehr bald wieder kommen zu können.

Wir haben im Juli 2017 erholsame 12 Tage in der Villa Kato Vatos verbracht.
Die Villa ist mit allem Komfort ausgestattet. Sehr gemütlich und toll eingerichtet! Sehr bequeme Betten. Vivien und John haben ein kleines Paradies geschaffen! Es fehlte uns an Nichts. Die Lage ist einmalig schön; kein Durchgangsverkehr, der Garten ist sehr gepflegt und wunderschön angelegt! Kamilari ist ein kleines beschauliches und uriges Dorf mit einem Supermarkt und mehreren Restaurants, in denen man sehr gut essen kann. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und planen ein weiteres Mal unseren Urlaub hier zu verbringen!

The villa was amazing. Very stylish, lovely attention to detail. Great kitchen for cooking family meals.
Beautiful terrace, garden, pool, views. Kamilari was very nice and we loved the beach at Kommos. Also enjoyed Matala for something a bit lively.
A wonderful, memorable holiday. We did not want to leave.

Kato Vatos is beautiful and a wonderful place to spend a holiday. The house is comfortable, beautifully appointed and very clean, and the spacious gardens and swimming pool with their amazing views of the valley and mountains beyond are lovely. Kamilari has nice restaurants and a useful supermarket, and there are plenty of things to do in the environment, including lovely beaches, interesting ruins, and walks. I loved my stay there and have already booked to return.

A timeless haven

Everything everyone has said is true - there’s much to do within a short distance from the house, with the pretty village just up the road, beaches and good restaurants nearby, ancient stones to visit, and a great market not far away in Moires.
The house is a haven of cool spaces, comfort and tranquility, and the view from the shade of the olive trees, across the pool and lovely garden to the mountains, could tempt you to do little more than go to the village supermarket for essential supplies, then watch the colours of the landscape change from sunrise to sunset, and allow yourself to simply be.

Wir (2 befreundete Familien mit Kindern im Alter von 4, 5, 13 und 15 Jahren) haben im August 2015 zum 2. Mal Ferien in Kamilari gemacht und sind auch dieses Mal wieder begeistert von dem Ort, der Umgebung und den Stränden in der Nähe.

Die Villa Kato Vatos von Vivienne und John ist ein absoluter Traum. Das Haus ist ganz neu, wunderschön angelegt mit mehreren Olivenbäumen auf dem Grundstück, sehr geschmackvoller Einrichtung, einem tollen Pool und einer herrlichen Aussicht.
Ausgestattet ist die gepflegte Villa mit allen Details, die benötigt werden; auch hier haben Vivienne und John an alles gedacht.
Auch die Betreuung vor Ort war sehr nett und unkompliziert.
Alles in allem ein perfekter Ort, um seinen Urlaub zu genießen und sich bestens zu erholen.

Katos Vatos is a wonderful new villa, perfectly located in beautiful and quiet Kamilari, an hour drive down south from Heraklio. The house is brand new, very confortable, furnished with great taste and fully equiped. The outdoor is outstanding, with a beautiful private pool, a large terrace with fantastic view over the mountains and a well kept garden with flowers, aromatic herbs and olive trees. Kamilari is a beautiful and authentic village far away from mass tourism. It has a couple of nice bars and restaurants and is located a few minutes drive away from amazing Matala and some of the greatest beaches of Crete. A great place to stay!

Just back from a perfect week and much needed break at Kato Vatos. Waking up to stunning mountain views, for breakfast on the terrace under a beautiful olive tree overlooking local fields, mountains and neighbouring goats before a morning swim is panacea for the soul. the house is beautiful and immediately felt like home, great kitchen with all amenities. I would happily stay at the villa the entire time. the town (short walk) is just lovely, small and very friendly with great tavernas, and doesnt feel touristy, food was amazing. beautiful beaches and sunsets were a very short drive (10-20 mins depending on the beach). thank you so much to Vivienne & John for looking after us so well, they really couldn't do enough to make sure we were comfortable, we definitely hope to be back soon!
