Trullo il Pioppo Gigante is a traditional 17th-century trullo with private 2.30 x 2.30 m hot tub and fenced garden in the Alto Salento countryside, a short drive from San Michele Salentino and the sandy beaches of the Torre Guaceto reserve. It sleeps 2–5 guests with two double bedrooms carved in stone alcoves, a single bed niche in the living room, an air-conditioned dining/living area and a shower bathroom. Outside you find an equipped outdoor kitchen, shaded veranda, sun loungers and access to the organic vegetable garden, perfect for barbecues and long evenings under the stars. For larger groups you can also rent nearby Trullo Mandarino and stay together with up to 8 people.

great hosts, who even greeted us late at night when our flight was delayed. very responsive and helpful. The villa is really quite and ideal for a restfull holiday or as a place to visit other local towns.
Wir haben eine wundervolle Zeit im Trullo von Stefano und seiner Familie verbracht. Der Gastgeber war sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit und hatte einige gute Tipps parat. Der Trullo ist liebevoll eingerichtet und liegt idyllisch in einem ruhigen Olivenhain. Draußen gibt es schattige Sitzplätze, einen Pool und einen Grillplatz – ideal zum Entspannen und Genießen im Freien. Obwohl San Michele Salentino ein kleiner Ort ist, gibt es dort einige empfehlenswerte Restaurants sowie eine sehr gute Bäckerei (Il Panificio Srl). Die Lage eignet sich perfekt für Ausflüge in die Region Apulien.

Excellent stay in a beautiful Trulli. Very good communication from host and accommodating in providing extras for our 2 year old. The information pack on the local area was very useful to help locate the best beaches and restaurants.
Première fois que nous prenions ce type de logement pour 6 jours et nous avons été très agréablement surpris . Un petit paradis entouré d'oliviers . Le trullo et sa petite piscine très propres. L'emplacement idéal pour les visites aux alentours .Un hôte sympathique et discret . Nous y serions volontiers restés quelque jours de plus .
The outside space was very nice. Inside is a bit basic, but it is a Trullo so to be expected. Good base for exploring Puglia but immediate town (San Michele) is a bit sleepy and approximately 3K walk. Stefano is very kind and friendly - he is always on hand if you need anything.

Lieu idéal au calme et proche des plus villes des pouilles. Stéphano est extraordinaire très serviable et très accueillant. Très propre je recommande les yeux fermés

Liebevoll eingerichtet. Ein kleiner aber völlig ausreichender sauberer Pool. Stefano der Gastgeber ist sehr zuvorkommend, jederzeit erreichbar und sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gern wieder.
Our stay in this traditional trullo amidst the olive fields of Puglia was absolutely wonderful! The place was meticulously maintained and spotlessly clean, with nothing lacking for our comfort. The natural beauty surrounding us was simply breathtaking, and my whole family, especially my children, loved swimming in the small pool. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the kindness and availability of Stefano, the owner. This extraordinary man perfectly embodies the hospitality and warmth of this beautiful region of Italy! We hope to have the chance to return someday to relive these unforgettable moments
Our stay at Stefano’a trulo was amazing. The area was beautiful maintained with care for details. A green private paradise. We felt directly at home. Owner Stefano is very friendly and flexible. Our kids loved the small swimming pool. Perfect location to explore different highlighte Puglia. Definitely recommend this place.
