With 1000 inhabitants, Aflenz Kurort is the largest district and the center of the market town of Aflenz. Aflenz was named a climatic health resort as early as 1920, and in 1979 the place was given the title "Heilklimatischer Höhenluftkurort".In the health resort Aflenz you will find all the usual shopping facilities as well as a supermarket, doctor, pharmacy, bookstore and much more. Aflenz Kurort is connected to the Bürgeralm by a double cable car and is the starting point for hiking in summer and skiing in winter.
