Holiday destination

This industrial monument is equipped with the highest possible level of soundproofing. Like all large factory buildings around the turn of the century, ours was built directly next to a railway line. This line is still in use today and runs right in front of the building.

Getting there

Directions to the Loft:

On foot from Heidenau S-Bahn station to the Loft (500m walk):

From the platform, go down the stairs, then turn left and exit the station. You will see the bus stops and taxis, as well as the roundabout. Continue along Bahnhofstrasse (Station Street). The first street on the right is Ernst-Thälmann-Strasse.

The building (formerly the German Printing Institute, now the Art Institute) is easy to spot. You can see the colorful DLRG (German Life Saving Association) sign from a distance.
