The sandy beach and the village of Elounda are around 15 minutes away (approx. 1 km). Elounda is located on the Mirabello Gulf and offers a beautiful coastline with sandy and rocky beaches and nature with almond and olive trees. Excursion boats depart from Elounda for the island of Spinalonga with its impressive Venetian fort.


This area also offers many opportunities for hikers, for example a coastal walk from Elounda to Placa (approx. 5 km). It is around 75 km to Heraklion Airport.
