Description
Holiday house with a large terrace and a nice view of the fjord. In all bedrooms and in the annex, the beds can be put together to form double beds. The house has wireless internet, and TV via Astra1 and Riks-TV. Smart TV. Fire up the wood stove in the hot tub after filling it with cold water from the cabin via the hose. In the heated water, you can enjoy your holiday relaxed and secluded. Øya Storfosna has frequent car ferry connections to Garten, just west of the town of Brekstad. On the island you have both a shop and a restaurant. The island is large with many permanent residents and hence the good ferry connections to the mainland. It is 19 km to Brekstad including ferry. Large open spaces in addition to the plot to move around. Sandy beach 300 m. Boats for rent: An 18 foot Gimo boat with 25 HP 4-stroke Yamaha engine and Garmin Echomap 50s chartplotter/gps/sonar. Two additional boats with engines are available for hire on request in good time: a 17 foot Rana Fisker25 HP 4-stroke Yamaha engine, an 18 foot Hansvik with 25 HP 4-stroke Yamaha engine. Garmin Echomap 50s chartplotters/gps/sonars are included for each boat. Life jackets for rent NOK 30 per week per person. Very good fishing just up the fjord, actually one of the best in this part of the fjord. Filleting space for fish indoors in a boathouse with light and water. A boat driver's license is required for anyone born after 1980 who drives a boat with an engine larger than 25 HP. Storfosna is a great starting point for road trips to Trondheim, Røros, Stiklestad, but also to the nearby area on the mainland with Grandefjæren, which is used by 210 registered bird species. Austråttborgen, Renaissance castle from the first half of the 17th century. Austrätt fort from the 2nd World War with i.a. a triple tower in 5 floors. Other great places to visit are Lysøysund and Råkvågen with lots of sea houses with exhibitions etc. Deposit can also be paid in EUR. There is a pertrol station at the island.
