Holiday home near the sea on the island Askøy with room for the extended family. Large plot with panoramic views of the sea. The house has good facilities with a large separate kitchen, living room with spacious dining area and a wood-burning stove. Tiled bathroom with underfloor heating and washer/dryer. On the first floor there is a large loft room with TV and 2 large bedrooms. Exit from the living room on the ground floor go a lovely terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. There are good fishing opportunities in the area and possible to rent a rowing boat, 14ft Askeladden w/oars. The boat is located by the fjord, 100 m from the house. Great swimming opportunities just 50 meters from the house. The nearest large town is Kleppestø 10km away, with shopping mall, gas station, restaurants, medical center, etc. From Kleppestø there is a fast boat directly to Bergen city center. The boat departs every half hour and takes approx. 15 minutes. In the beautiful Hanseatic city of Bergen between the seven mountains, you will find tourist attractions such as Bryggen, Ulriken and Fløyen, as well as cultural offerings and restaurants. Askøy is a large island, and from Haugelandshella where the holiday home is located, you can see far out the fjord. It is a quiet and peaceful area where you can enjoy the calm and yet be close to the city. Visit popular attractions such as Herdla Museum, Tveit Church, Fodnes Church and the coastal museum in Øygarden. If you want a more active holiday, you can take great hikes in the area. We also recommend Siglingsvatnet outdoor park in the vicinity which is open all year, there are great hiking trails, lavatories, fire pits, free rental of boats and canoes, a 12-meter observation tower and much more, great for the whole family.
